How to Cook Your

Wagyu Beef Steak

Bear Lake Beef’s wagyu steaks are known for their marbling, which is the intramuscular fat that creates juicy and tender steaks. Whether you are grilling, pan-frying, or roasting your steak, here are some methods to cook your steaks.

Grilling

Grilling Bear Lake Wagyu Beef is an excellent way to get the juiciest and most flavorful steak.

  1. Before cooking your Wagyu, remove it from the fridge an hour in advance and let it sit at room temperature. By doing this, your meat will cook more evenly and faster.
  2. Season your steak with salt and pepper (both sides)
  3. Use medium heat and remove the steak from the heat after 2 to 3 minutes on each side
  4. Baste with butter and herbs for extra flavor

Cooking times will vary depending on the thickness of the steak and desired doneness.

Pan-frying

Pan-Frying Bear Lake Wagyu Beef steaks are another popular choice.

  1. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and add oil or butter to the pan
  2. Place your steak in the pan and cook for about 4 minutes on each side, depending on thickness and desired doneness
  3. Flip your steak once during cooking to make sure both sides are evenly cooked

Roasting

When roasting Bear Lake Beef’s wagyu steaks:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F
  2. Season your steak with salt and pepper
  3. Place on a shallow baking sheet or roasting pan and cook for about 15 minutes depending on the thickness of the steak and desired doneness
  4. Let the steaks rest for at least 10 minutes before serving

Bear Lake Beef’s wagyu steaks are best-enjoyed medium-rare, but you can adjust the cooking times to your preferred doneness.
